Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy communications director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she worked in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and as regional press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. Her appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House. However, on May 30th the 30th of May, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications. she remained until the end of Obama's presidency.
