Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
